Dianne is a Northern Ontario artist with a studio in North Bay. She exhibits annually at the Riverdale Art Walk at Jimmy Simpson Park in Toronto. She has a BA in Fine Art,University of Guelph, a BEd in Visual Arts, University of Toronto and a Visual Arts Specialist Certificate, Ontario Ministry of Education.She has taken many additional courses from artists such as Greg Curnoe , Ken Danby, Dizintar Mezulis, Christopher Rees, Bruce St.Clair and Jack Reid. In the fall of 2012 she retired as a secondary school art teacher and began painting full time. A course at The Academy for Realist Art in Toronto inspired her to return to painting in oil. Her subject matter remains the same: people and places that are familiar to her. She feels that her best work happens when she is working from life.
